Coming soon will be the 2016 budget for the Earth Day Committee.
Sneak peak for the 2016 booth: one archeological exhibit and two environmental science exhibits, all meant to be interactive and fun!
UPDATE: We have received notice from Earth Day Indiana that next year's event will occur on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Military Park (new location).
2015 INAEP Booth
The INAEP booth was awesome. The weather was on Earth Day was not. Sadly Earth Day Indiana attendance was seriously down, thanks to rain early and later in the day.
The hundred or so booth visitors liked what they saw, and we want to thank all of the INAEP members who volunteered to work the booth. We could not so it without you!
INAEP received a letter (e-mail) from Earth Day Indiana with the following message.
"Thank you for being an exhibitor at yesterday's Earth Day Indiana Festival. We may organize the event but YOU are what makes it important. While Mother Nature gave us some challenges, our visitors had a great time and learned a lot. I've been hearing some good feedback from festival visitors who enjoyed the wide range of exhibitors... Thank you again for making the Earth Day Indiana Festival an event that is fun, educational, and that encourages people to do more to make our world, our state, more sustainable." Summer Keown, Executive Director, Earth Day Indiana, Inc.
We would like to take a moment to impart some sad, sad news. The rain garden did not survive the Earth Day Indiana load-out. Scuba Steve is without a home for a little while. But never fear, the Earth Day committee will survive and live to build another rain garden. One that is bigger and better. We are at least comforted by the thought that Andy's 2015 rain garden will never be forgotten. It will live on forever in two TouTube videos (links provided below).
